WNYRS TRIP TO: The world famous Niagara Parks Rose Garden, part of the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens, and the Niagara Parks Butterfly Conservatory

The Niagara Parks Rose Garden features over 2,400 roses. The NP Botanical and Rose Gardens are located at the Niagara Parks School of Horticulture in Ontario, Canada.

TRIP DATE: TBD (Usually a Saturday in late June or in July)

DEPARTURE: 9:00 AM from the parking lot of the St. Stephens-Bethlehem United Church of Christ, 750 Wehrle Drive, Williamsville, NY 14221 (near Union Road). Please arrive by 8:45 AM. Car pooling will have been arranged for registered participants. Volunteer drivers will be identified prior to the day of the trip.

COSTS: Admission is free to the NP Botanical Gardens. Admission to the NP Butterfly Conservatory costs $11.00 Adult, $6.50 Children 6 to 12 years of age (Canadian dollars). Participants buy their own lunch and dinner. NO cost imposed by the WNYRS.

SIGN UP: Please notify the trip leader at least one week prior to the trip date to register for the trip. All WNYRS members are invited and are welcome to bring guests. When you sign up, please indicate whether:

1. you are willing to drive your vehicle and accommodate a few passengers for the trip OR
2. you will need transportation for the trip.

DOCUMENTS: Be sure to bring Photo ID & Birth Certificate, or your Passport

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE FOR THE DAY (subject to change to accommodate participants):

• 9:00-10:00 AM Drive to the NP Rose Garden
• 10:00-12:30 PM Tour the NP Rose and Botanical Gardens
• 12:30-1:30 PM Lunch
• 1:30-3:30 PM Tour the NP Butterfly Emporium (adjacent to the Rose Garden)
• 3:30-5:00 PM Travel to restaurant, including side visits en route
• 5:00-6:30 PM Dinner
• 6:30-7:30 PM Drive back to departure point (church parking lot)
